Pre-Appointment Information

Thank you for booking a plant care service with Planted by Ari! To make your appointment smooth and successful, here’s everything you need to know before we arrive.

1. Appointment Types

We offer a variety of services, including:

  • In-home plant care – watering, pruning, cleaning, and repotting

  • Consultations – phone, virtual, or in-person guidance

  • Plant sourcing & decorative pot add-ons – optional enhancements for your plants

  • Commercial plant services – offices, restaurants, and community spaces

2. Preparing Your Plants

To help us serve you efficiently:

  • Make sure plants are easily accessible and free from obstacles

  • Group similar plants together if possible

  • If you have larger collections, photos or a short list of your plants can be very helpful

  • Clear any pets or breakables from the workspace

3. Your Space

  • We’ll need enough room to move around safely while caring for your plants

  • For larger repotting jobs, having a flat surface (table, counter, or floor space) is ideal

4. Pot Requirements

  • Drainage is strongly recommended for healthy plants

  • If your decorative pots don’t have drainage, we can provide nursery liners or suggest alternatives

  • Decorative pots can also be added or swapped later if you’d like

5. Travel & Fees

  • Standard service area: 15-mile radius from South Bend, IN – no additional charge

  • Extended travel (up to 30 miles) – $1.50 per mile or a flat $25 fee

  • For locations beyond 30 miles, please email us in advance to discuss options

6. Consultations & Additional Services

  • If you’re unsure of what your plants need, a consultation is a great first step

  • During the appointment, we’ll assess your plants and answer all your questions

  • If extra services are required, we can often complete them the same day or schedule a follow-up visit

7. Safety & Care

  • We handle your plants with the utmost care and respect

  • If a plant is fragile or has special requirements, please let us know ahead of time

  • All tools and materials are brought by us; nothing additional is required on your part

8. Payments

  • Payments are accepted via cash, credit or debit card, check, or gift card.

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made in advance
